Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Vs Garnier Miracle Skin Perfecter

So the BB cream hype was massive last year and just like a lot of other people I was quick jumping on the band wagon and brought the UK's first BB cream, Garnier Miracle Skin Perfecter. However a lot of other company's have made they're own BB creams and the market has recently got a lot bigger from them. So I took two of the most popular BB creams and compared them. The first being the Garnier one which I brought for £9.99. I used this for quite a while last year until my acne got pretty bad and I found that it didn't have enough coverage. Up until then I actually really liked it. The coverage was good for my skin at the time, it applied really evenly and the smell is amazing! It made doing my makeup in the mourning super easy and quick and best of all it's super light on your skin. However after my acne got bad my skin became really oily and I found that whenever I used this BB cream it would just slide off, leaving my skin looking terrible so I just shoved my previously loved Garnier BB cream to the back of my draw. So a few months ago I received a sample of the new Maybelline Dream Fresh BB cream. And with my now super oily skin I really didn't think it was going to be any good for me. When I first put it on I actually really liked it. This too was super easy to blend and has even better coverage then the Garnier one which I really like. This also isn't heavy on my skin at all and gives a a nice glow that doesn't look oily. And the best bit is that by the end of the day it was still there and my skin wasn't oily at all! And after i finished my sample i brought a full sized tube for £8.99. So both BB creams are actually really good but work for different skin types. The Garnier one would work well on dry, normal and possibly even combination skin. The Maybelline one would work well on oily, combination and normal skin although maybe not do well on dry skin. However Garnier have brought out an oil free BB cream but I haven't yet tried it so I don't know how good it is. I am a massive fan of BB creams and I do think they are really good. My only piece of advice is really think if it's going to work for your skin before you buy.

Review - Rimmel Soft Kohl Pencil in Jet Black

So again I think this was one of the products I picked up in a 3 for 2 promotion just because I wanted to try something new. And for just £2.99 I thought why not. I never spend a lot on liner anyway, it's just not worth it. So I took home my brand new pencil and used it the next day to line all round my eyes and actually really liked it. The pencil is pretty soft (but not too soft) so it glides on pretty well. I also line my tight and water lines everyday and it stays on them both for most of the day. If you wanted you could touch it up about half way thorough but I'm personally not a fan of touching up my make up. And another thing is that it's super black. There is just one problem I have though, it doesn't sharpen to great. By this I mean that some times the wood from the pencil splinters which is sort of dangerous I guess so I just throw it away and buy a new one. I am really a fan though and I'm on something like my third or forth pencil and I still really like it.

Review - Look Beauty Make Me Blush in Rosy

So I was just looking around the isles in Superdrug killing some time before I had to meet my friend. So I strolled on over to the Look Beauty stand, already being a fan after the eye shadow, to take a look. Right at the top of the stand there was a number of different blushes and bronzers on offer for £5 rather then £8, and being the bargain hunter I am, I coudent resist picking one up. So I swatched them all on the back of my hand and finally decided on the colour called Rosy. Now after trying it out I've got to say its the most gorgeous blusher colour I've ever seen! It's a medium pink colour with extremely small pieces of golden glitter. When applied it leaves you with an ultra natural blush and the gold glitter also leaves you looking sort of bronzed which I absolutely love. It's not chalky at all and actually applies pretty smoothly. I was pretty surprised with how much product you get as well meaning its pretty good value for money. I will defiantly be going back to check the rest of the blushes out.

Review - Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Transparant

So I have very, very oily skin and it takes a lot to keep the oil under control so a good setting powder is very important for me. I'm really not sure how I came about this powder, probably a 3 for 2 promotion but for the past year I've found myself using Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder in transparent. Now I'm not going to start making claims that it's the best setting powder in the world but it defiantly does the job for me. This powder does completely mattefy your skin so if your not oily like me it won't be any good but if you are then this could be a powder for you. When I first put it on it gives me a flawless face but fades in to a more natural look as the day does on. And it does keep me oil free for a few hours but it does often need touching up if I want to stay oil free all day long. It is only £3.99 though so touching up is really not a big ask. Over all I really do like this powder and if you have oily skin you should defiantly go and check it out.

Review - Look Beauty Statement Eyes Eye Shadow in LBD

So I was just looking for a new shadow to line by eyes in (I'm not a fan of eye liner) and I noticed Look Beauty - Look magazines brand new cosmetic range. Being a fan of Look and because they had an offer on, I picked up the Statement Eyes, eye shadow in LBD which is a slightly glittery black. Costing just £2 (usually £4) I thought it was a pretty good price. Trying it out the next day, I lined my eyes with it using a standard angled eyeliner brush. And wow I was impressed! This is the most black pigmented eye shadow I have ever seen and it applies like a dream. It's not chalky at all and just glides right on, making it so easy to line my eyes. This has replaced my usual eye kohl which I now just use for the water and tight lines and gives me a super sleek look every time. It's defiantly a thumbs up for this eye shadow!
